How to Become a Mastering Engineer
You don't jump straight into mastering. The path to becoming a mastering engineer starts with years in a recording studio as an intern, transitions through audio engineering, and only then moves to mastering. To succeed, you need critical listening, a perfectly tuned room, and hands-on experience with both analog hardware and digital processors. Most foundational of all: no reverb in the mastering chain.
