The Wanted was a popular British-Irish boy band formed in 2009, known for their energetic pop anthems and international success during the early 2010s.Formed through auditions by Jayne Collins, The Wanted (Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes) achieved immediate UK chart success with their debut single 'All Time Low' in 2010. They became global stars with hits like 'Glad You Came' and 'Chasing the Sun'. The band experienced periods of hiatus, notably from 2014-2021. Tragically, member Tom Parker died in 2022 after battling brain cancer. The remaining members have occasionally reunited for performances in his memory.

• Tom Parker was diagnosed with an inoperable stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour in 2020. He continued performing and advocating for cancer research until his death on March 30, 2022, aged 33.
• Despite their success, the band announced an indefinite hiatus in 2014 to pursue solo projects. They reunited briefly in 2021 for a greatest hits album and a charity concert in honour of Tom Parker.
• Member Nathan Sykes launched a successful solo career post-hiatus, collaborating with artists like Ariana Grande.
