Rise Against

American punk rock band known for melodic hardcore sound and sociopolitical activism.Formed in Chicago in 1999 by Tim McIlrath and Joe Principe. Released debut album 'The Unraveling' (2001) via Fat Wreck Chords. Achieved mainstream success with albums 'Siren Song of the Counter Culture' (2004) and 'The Sufferer & the Witness' (2006). Known for singles 'Savior', 'Prayer of the Refugee', and 'Give It All'. Maintains DIY ethic while addressing human rights, animal welfare, and environmental issues.
