Christopher Gunning
Award-winning British composer renowned for his extensive work in film and television scores, particularly for the 'Poirot' series, and later concert works.Christopher Gunning was born in Cheltenham, England. He studied composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His career spanned over five decades, during which he composed scores for more than 100 films and television programs. He won four British Academy Television Awards (BAFTAs) for Best Original Television Music for the 'Poirot' series starring David Suchet. Gunning also composed significant concert works, including symphonies, concertos, and chamber music, especially later in his career. He passed away in London.
