American electronic music producer, DJ, singer, songwriter, and composer celebrated for his deeply melodic, emotionally resonant sound that blends genres like complextro, electro house, synthpop, future bass, and ambient. Porter Robinson achieved massive early success in the EDM scene with his 2011 "Spitfire" EP on Skrillex's label. His critically acclaimed debut album "Worlds" (2014) marked a significant shift towards a more personal, melodic, and anime-influenced style. Following a period of creative struggle and depression, he released the introspective and uplifting second album "Nurture" (2021). He also creates music under the alias Virtual Self.
