KANA-BOON is a popular Japanese rock band known for their energetic sound, catchy melodies, and frequent contributions to anime theme songs.
Formed in Osaka in 2008 by vocalist/guitarist Maguro Taniguchi and bassist Takahiro Koizumi. Drummer Hayato Koga joined soon after. They gained major recognition with the 2014 hit "Silhouette", the opening theme for the anime Naruto Shippuden. This propelled them from the indie scene to major label Ki/oon Music (Sony Music Japan).
Known for albums like "DOPPEL" (2013), "TIME" (2015), "Origin" (2017), and "Honey & Darling" (2021), they consistently chart well. Guitarist Yuuma Meshida was an official member from 2010 to 2019. The band continues actively touring and releasing music with a trio lineup.
