American Christian music singer, songwriter, pianist, and evangelist known for his uncompromising faith and influential role in the Jesus Movement. Child prodigy turned Christian music icon, Green signed a record deal at age 11 before undergoing spiritual transformation. After converting to evangelical Christianity in 1975, he co-founded Last Days Ministries and produced impactful music advocating radical discipleship. His career was tragically cut short by an aviation accident at age 28.

• Green initially pursued secular music, releasing pop singles as a teenager under Decca Records, but achieved little commercial success before his spiritual awakening.
• Following his conversion, Green adopted a radical approach: he refused to sell his albums, instead distributing them on a 'pay-what-you-can' basis or giving them away free, believing Christian ministry shouldn't be commercialized.
• He died alongside two of his children (Josiah and Bethany) and nine others when a small plane they were in crashed shortly after takeoff in Texas. The accident was attributed to pilot error and aircraft overloading.
• His posthumously released song 'Your Love Broke Through' became one of his most enduring works, covered by numerous artists across Christian and mainstream genres.
