American post-hardcore band known for intricate guitar work, theatrical vocals, and emotionally charged lyrics blending personal struggles with fantastical narratives.Formed in San Diego, California in 2006 by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the dissolution of their previous band, Early Times. The initial lineup included Vic Fuentes (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Mike Fuentes (drums), and Tony Perry (lead guitar). Bassist Jaime Preciado joined shortly after. The band gained significant recognition with their second album, 'Selfish Machines' (2010), and achieved mainstream breakthrough with 'Collide with the Sky' (2012), featuring the hit single "King for a Day" (featuring Kellin Quinn). Known for energetic live shows, they toured extensively worldwide. Activity slowed after 2016 due to personal reasons and allegations against Mike Fuentes, leading to his departure in 2017. The band continued as a trio, releasing singles and eventually their fifth studio album, 'The Jaws of Life', in 2023, marking a significant evolution in their sound.
