This chorale, "So wandelt froh auf Gottes Wegen" (So walk joyfully on God's paths), is the final movement of Part 1 of Bach's Cantata BWV 197, "Gott ist unsre Zuversicht" (God is our confidence), composed for a wedding in Leipzig. It's a harmonization of a chorale melody by Martin Luther. Interestingly, much of this cantata reuses music from Bach's earlier Christmas Cantata BWV 197a. The cantata features rich orchestration including trumpets, oboes, strings, and timpani, though this specific arrangement adapts the chorale for flute and harp.
