"Nessun Dorma" is one of the most famous arias from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot. The title translates to "None shall sleep" and is sung by the character Calaf, who declares that he will win the princess Turandot. The aria is particularly known for its powerful finale with the high B note and the words "Vincerò!" ("I will win!"). Luciano Pavarotti's performance made this aria internationally famous, especially when it became the theme for the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
