Giulio Regondi (1822-1872) was a virtuoso guitarist and concertinist of the Romantic era. His compositions, particularly his etudes, are considered some of the most technically challenging and musically sophisticated works in the guitar repertoire. Etude No. 1 showcases his innovative use of harmony and demanding right-hand technique.
