We have a collection of 10 arrangements for Antonio Vivaldi - Winter (The Four Seasons)
Which Baroque composer created a set of violin concertos that famously depict the four seasons? Learn!
"Winter" is the fourth and final concerto from Antonio Vivaldi's iconic set of four violin concertos known as "The Four Seasons" (Le quattro stagioni). This Baroque masterpiece is part of a larger collection called "Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione" (The Contest Between Harmony and Invention). Each concerto is accompanied by a sonnet, possibly written by Vivaldi himself, that describes the seasonal scenes the music illustrates. "Winter" evokes images of shivering cold, ice, and the comfort of sitting by a warm fireplace during a winter storm.
