Wiegala is a hauntingly beautiful lullaby composed by Ilse Weber while imprisoned in Theresienstadt concentration camp during WWII. She wrote it to comfort children in the camp, including her own son. Tragically, Weber and her younger son were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The song survives as a poignant testament to maternal love and artistic resilience in the face of unimaginable horror.
