Edwin Eugene Bagley - National Emblem Sheet Music: 2 Community Favorites

Composed in 1906, National Emblem March is one of the most recognizable American marches alongside Sousa's works. Its second strain incorporates the melody of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Legend says Bagley considered destroying the manuscript after musicians complained about its difficulty during a train-stop rehearsal, but it became his most enduring work, adopted by U.S. military bands as a patriotic standard.
