The Planets, Op. 32 is a seven-movement orchestral suite by Gustav Holst composed between 1914-1916. Each movement represents a planet of the Solar System and its corresponding astrological character. This arrangement features Mars (Bringer of War), Mercury (Winged Messenger), and Jupiter (Bringer of Jollity) – three of the most dramatic and recognizable sections of the suite.
Part of Holst's "The Planets" suite, Jupiter is renowned for its grand central melody, later adapted into the hymn "I Vow to Thee, My Country."
